Naomh Colmcille’s U14 girls opened their Fiona Doherty Memorial Cup campaign with a strong and composed performance away to Burt.
In a well-contested game, both sides produced passages of quality football, with Naomh Colmcille matching their opponents throughout.

The teams could not be separated by the final whistle, with the match finishing level at 1-8 to 1-8.
There were plenty of positives to take from the performance. The girls showed great work rate, discipline, and teamwork across the pitch, with both attacking intent and defensive organisation evident throughout.
Starting the campaign with a draw on the road provides a solid foundation, and the group will take confidence from this display as they look ahead to their upcoming fixtures.
There is certainly more to come from this talented squad as the competition progresses.ù
