Naomh Colmcille’s Martin McKinley Honoured at Referees Appreciation Evening

Naomh Colmcille were proudly represented at the recent StreamSport Referees Appreciation Evening held in the Mount Errigal Hotel, Letterkenny, where club member Martin McKinley was recognised for his outstanding commitment to refereeing.

Martin was the recipient of a Longevity in Service Award, a well-deserved honour reflecting his dedication and many years of service to Gaelic Games. While Martin was unable to attend on the night due to being away, his award was accepted on his behalf by fellow club member Denis Kennedy.

The evening celebrated referees who officiated the 2024 and 2025 senior finals in both hurling and football, as well as those who have given exceptional service to the role over many years.
Hosted by Donegal GAA Referees Administrator Pat Walsh, with Sinéad Breen acting as MC, the event brought together officials, guests, and families to recognise the vital contribution referees make to the game.
Following the presentations and a meal, entertainment was provided by Stephen Bennett, rounding off a memorable occasion.
Everyone at Naomh Colmcille extends their congratulations to Martin on this significant achievement and thanks him for his continued service and commitment to the game.
