Naomh Padraig, Lifford, chalked up their first win of the new season by way of a big victory over Naomh Colmcille, in Pairc Naomh Colmcille, in Newtowncunningham, on Friday evening.

Martin Mongan and Oran Gallen scored the goals, one in each half, for the men from Pairc MacDiarmada. Conor and Brian Breslin, Declan Lafferty, Charles Dooher and the ageless Johnny Mahon were also among the points scorers.

It was a second heavy defeat in a row for Naomh Colmcille who are now managed by former Naomh Padraig boss Sean McConnell. They also suffered a heavy first round defeat by Carndonagh, in Foden last weekend.
