Daniel Clarke . . . in scoring form for Naomh Colmcille
Naomh Colmcille kept their good league form going with another win on the road away at Naomh Pádraig on Saturday evening.

The visitors started quickly and with the breeze on their backs they went into a three point lead with points from Daniel Clarke (2)and Tiernan Brown. Kevin Doherty kept Naomh Padraig in touch with tw0 frees to keep the deficit to the minimum on 11 minutes.
A Daniel Clarke free extended the Naomh Colmcille lead before a long ball into the square was caught brilliantly by Clarke who squared for Tiernan Brown to punch delightfully to the net on 17 minutes. Jonathon Toye responded immediately as he pointed brilliantly from 30m for N. Padraig and the home side cut the deficit further when Darragh McIntyre capitalised on a turnover and split the posts from 40m.
In the closing stages of the first half a free for each side left the score 1-8 – 0- at half-ime in favour of Naomh Colmcille.
The Newtown men started the second half with purpose and added three points in quick order from Clarke(2) and David McNamee to leave them 1-11 to 0-6 up on 38 minutes. Naomh Pádraig were struggling to get a grip on the game but a great point from the left sideline from Cormac McColgan kept them in it and the Muff men rallied.
But as the game entered the final quarter Naomh Colmcille were dominant all over the field and they added three further points to leave them comfortable as Naomh Pádraig struggled to get anything going and the visitors ran out easy winners at the end.
